Global launch day · Last updated: October 5, 2026
Spacetime Rifts are Aion 2's cross-faction PvP windows, and the portal is enterable for 10 minutes only. Here is the countdown to the next rift, the full daily schedule in UTC, and every world boss and siege timer on the same clock.
Eight rifts a day, one every 3 hours, identical on Global, Korea and Taiwan servers. The UTC column is the worldwide reference — convert it once to your timezone and it never changes.
| Rift | Opens (UTC) | Entry closes (UTC) | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| #1 | 00:00 | 00:10 | Late-night prime for Asia-Pacific |
| #2 | 03:00 | 03:10 | Early morning Europe |
| #3 | 06:00 | 06:10 | Morning Europe, pre-dawn US East |
| #4 | 09:00 | 09:10 | Mid-morning Europe, US early birds |
| #5 | 12:00 | 12:10 | UTC noon — EU afternoon, US morning |
| #6 | 15:00 | 15:10 | EU evening approaching, US midday |
| #7 | 18:00 | 18:10 | EU evening prime time |
| #8 | 21:00 | 21:10 | US East evening prime — busiest window |
NCSOFT has not published an official schedule — these are player-observed times, consistent across every region. On Taiwan time the rifts read 02:00, 05:00 … 23:00; on Korea time 09:00, 12:00 … 06:00.
World bosses, Abyss sieges and festival minigames all run on the same UTC schedule as the rifts.
Every 3 hours · 01:00–22:00 UTC
World boss spawning at a random spot in the Lower Abyss. Rewards scale with your participation, so even late arrivals earn something.
Mon, Thu & Sat · 21:00 UTC
Lower and Middle Abyss artifact battle between factions — the winners unlock the Abyss Corridor.
Mon, Thu & Sat · 21:30 UTC
Six executor bosses right after Artifact Siege: Tamasa, Agro and Kaira in the Lower Layer; Dramos, Dukal and Maraka in the Middle.
Fri & Sun · 21:00 UTC
Nahma — and his enraged form — spawn across the Lower and Middle Abyss twice a week.
Hourly at :00 · 10 min
A random 4–9 player minigame (Jump Jump, Nyerk Shooter, Hidden Lugi…) every hour on the hour. Runs during festival seasons only.
Hourly at :30 · 15 min
Field defense on the half hour. Confirmed on the Korea schedule — not yet verified on Global servers.
Rifts are the cross-faction PvP window — know the three rules before you portal-jump.
A portal only lets players in for 10 minutes after it spawns. Miss the window and you wait 3 hours for the next rift — hence the timer above.
Once through, the event runs a full hour: open-world PvP against the enemy faction, Sealed Dungeons, rift quests and Abyss Points.
Portals cap at 240 entrants. When one fills, extras spawn elsewhere in the zone — reroute instead of queueing.
Aion 2 is NCSoft's sequel to the classic MMORPG Aion, rebuilt with a new battle system and without the flight restrictions that defined the original. It launched in Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025, and went live globally on October 5, 2026 at 13:00 UTC — PC via Steam and the PURPLE launcher, with early access running from September 30.
The Spacetime Rift is the game's signature cross-faction content: a timed portal that drops you into enemy territory for open-world PvP, Sealed Dungeons, rift quests and Abyss Points. Because the portals only stay enterable for 10 minutes every 3 hours, the whole community organizes around the schedule — which is exactly why rift timers became a search habit on launch day.
On top of the rift cycle, the Abyss runs its own calendar: Watcher Kaira spawns every 3 hours, Artifact Sieges flare on Monday/Thursday/Saturday evenings UTC, and the Shugo Festival minigames fire hourly during festival seasons. All of those timers are collected in the table above.
Spacetime Rifts open every 3 hours on a worldwide UTC schedule: 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00 UTC. The times are identical on Global, Korea and Taiwan servers. NCSOFT has not published an official schedule — these are player-observed times, so re-verify after major patches.
The rift itself runs for 1 hour, but the portal is only enterable for the first 10 minutes after it spawns. Miss the entry window and you wait 3 hours for the next rift — that is why running a countdown matters.
Yes — one worldwide schedule. The rifts fire at the same UTC instant everywhere; only the local clock reading differs. Taiwan time shows them at 02:00, 05:00 … 23:00, and Korea time at 09:00, 12:00 … 06:00, but it is the same set of eight rifts.
Portals cap at 240 entrants. When one fills, extra portals spawn elsewhere in the zone — reroute to the new portal instead of queueing at the full one. This is also why groups rally a few minutes early.
No. NCSOFT has not published an official in-game or web schedule; the community-maintained times are player-observed and consistent across regions. Treat any site claiming an official timer (including this one) as unofficial, and re-check after patches in case a major update reshuffles the cycle.
Rifts are Aion 2's cross-faction PvP window: you port into enemy territory for open-world PvP against the other faction, Sealed Dungeons, rift quests and Abyss Points. The seven region quests only complete inside enemy territory, so accept them before jumping in.
Aion 2 launched in Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025, and the global Western release went live on October 5, 2026 at 13:00 UTC on PC via Steam and the PURPLE launcher, with early access running from September 30.
Schedule verified on October 5, 2026 against community rift trackers for the global launch build. NCSOFT may reshuffle times in future patches — re-check after maintenance.
Two hours is a long wait — the site's namesake clicker kills about half an hour per ending, right in your browser.
