Trade your humanity for power: the reputation grind to negative 40, finding Muzan at night, Muzan's Blood, surviving your first sunrises, and everything that changes once you become a demon in Slayers 2.
Becoming a demon in Project Slayers 2 requires you to find Muzan, reach negative 40 reputation, complete his quest, and use Muzan's Blood. Once transformed, you unlock Blood Demon Arts in place of breathing styles — and a brand-new sunlight problem to manage. The transformation is a real commitment, but reset options exist (codes like ARTRESET rotate through the game's code drops), so the door swings both ways.
The route is linear but slow — reputation is the long pole, so start it early.
Evil actions drain reputation in small increments — attacking friendlies where permitted and taking villainous quest options. There is no shortcut item; budget a few sessions and watch the counter fall toward negative 40.
Muzan only appears at night. Track the day/night cycle, and use the daylight to farm the potions and gear you will want after transforming.
Muzan moves between spawn points on the map. Community-pinned maps on the official Trello and Discord track his locations — verify the pin is recent, because stale locations waste an entire night cycle.
Muzan sets tasks before he will consider you. Finish the quest chain to prove your commitment — and expect it to lean into the same evil reputation you have been farming.
The transformation itself. Use Muzan's Blood and your character becomes a demon: new art, new progression, new problems — starting with the sun.
Fresh demons burn in sunlight. Stay indoors or in shade during the day until your progression handles it, and plan your play sessions around the night cycle for a while.
Spawn points, quest details and reputation rates are adjusted in updates — the official Trello and Discord (linked from our wiki page) carry the current values.
Your reward for the dark path. Progress the demon storyline to unlock your art, then level it through use — the demon equivalent of a breathing trainer, minus the mountain climb.
Sunlight damage is the demon tax. Stay indoors or shaded during the day, plan boss fights and farming for the night cycle, and treat every sunrise as a deadline.
BDAs have their own tier placements alongside clans and breathing styles. Some of the strongest builds in the game are demon builds — the path is flavor, not a trap.
| Aspect | Slayer Path | Demon Path |
|---|---|---|
| Combat kit | 8 Breathing Styles | Blood Demon Arts |
| Signature trial | Final Selection at level 45+ | -40 reputation grind + Muzan's quest |
| Sunlight | Irrelevant | Deadly until managed |
| City access | Free | Restricted/hostile in places |
| Changing your mind | Possible both ways via resets — active reset codes are listed on our codes page | |
Doing the math on a reset? The working codes — including ARTRESET and BREATHRESET when active — are on the Slayers 2 codes page.
Five steps: lower your reputation to negative 40 through evil actions, find Muzan (who only appears at night), complete his quest, use Muzan's Blood, and immediately deal with sunlight by staying indoors or in shade during the day until you adapt.
Muzan — who some players and guides simply call 'Man' — only spawns at night and relocates between spawn points on the map. Community maps on the official Trello board and Discord track his current locations; always verify a pin is fresh before traveling.
Perform evil actions: attack friendly NPCs and other players where the game allows it, and take the 'evil' dialogue options in quests. Reputation moves in small increments, so treat it as a session-long grind rather than a single quest.
Yes — reset options exist. The code ARTRESET (when active) resets your Evil Art, and race resets have appeared as both codes and in-game items. Check our codes page for the currently working reset codes before you commit, since they rotate with updates.
Blood Demon Arts (BDAs). After transforming, you progress the demon storyline to unlock and level your art through use. BDAs have their own tier placements — the demon meta is tracked alongside the clan and breathing rankings on tier lists.
Neither is strictly better. Demons get Blood Demon Arts, stronger regeneration and a distinct playstyle, but must manage sunlight and grind reputation back if they change their mind. Slayers keep the eight breathing styles, the Final Selection storyline and crowd-free city access. Most players try both across characters or resets.
